How to start?

  1. Please fill in the form and describe the full scope of the work and any non-negotiable requirements, so that I can assess whether the job is feasible for me.

  2. I will reply within 2–3 days. If not, maybe the mail got eaten by the void or spam folder. You can also contact me via discord (kritzelpixel). If I accept the job, I will either have a few further questions, or I will send you a PDF to fill in for more informations.

  3. Please complete the PDF, sign it and, in doing so, accept the Terms and Conditions.

  4. I’ll let you know the timeline. Once we’ve agreed on the details, I’ll invoice you for half the cost of the work.

  5. Once this has been paid, we’ll arrange a meeting via telephone / google teams or, if you prefer, writing via email or discord.

The working process

  • Phase 1 - Upon receipt of the brief and final agreement with approval for the initial sketches, I will provide two (or more) sketches with a round of revisions, which may result in a sketch that has been completely reworked.

  • Phase 2 - Once the client has approved one idea, I will develop it further, with a round of revisions that may involve minor to more extensive changes (new elements, significant adjustments to the pose).

  • Phase 3 - Once the client has approved that sketch, I will develop the outlines and flat colours. Afterwards, minor adjustments can be made to the outlines and the general colour scheme.

  • Phase 4 - Once the client has approved this draft, I will work on the rendering, light and shadow in detail. One revision cycle for minor adjustments.

  • Phase 5 - Once the client has approved this artwork, I will work on the finalisation in detail. At the same time, I will produce print-ready files. No revision cycle is planned at this stage. (Except like … I made big mistakes, where I have overlooked or forgotten a detail despite it having been pointed out.)

  • Phase 6 - Licence and artwork delivery via email / dropboxlink.

Phase 1 - First idea after concept

Phase 1 - Second idea after feedback

Phase 2 - Colored sketch

Phase 3 - no phase 3 because no outlines Phase 4 - Rendering

Phase 5 - Finalisation after feedback
